Ramune Kuktaite

Ramune Kuktaite is an Associate Professor at the Department of Plant Breeding at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Alnarp, Sweden. Ramune Kuktaite is an expert in plant protein innovative uses for bio-based materials, composites and food products. Ramune’s research focus is on plant proteins from industrial side-streams and their innovative uses in blends with starch/and fibers. Specific expertise is built on plant protein-based materials and food processing with a key expertise centered around structure characterization using latest x-ray scattering and imaging methods, and examining of a structure-function relationship in diverse plant based systems.

Ramune Kuktaite is the author of about 70 peer-reviewed publications, over 50 of conference contributions, 4 book chapters and a number of scientific reports.
