Qingye (Gemma) Lu  

Qingye (Gemma) Lu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the University of Calgary, Canada.

She obtained her PhD in Analytical Chemistry and trained as a postdoctoral fellow in Environmental Engineering and Chemical and Materials Engineering at the University of Alberta, Canada. She joined the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the University of Calgary as a tenure-tracked Assistant Professor in July 2016 and was tenured with promotion to Associate Professor in July 2021.

Her research interests are in colloids and interfacial science, biomimetic and natural materials, nanomaterial and nanotechnology applicable in energy, environment and biomedical fields.
