Bin Ding

Prof. Bin DING is the Dean of Institute of Science and Technology at Donghua University. He is a recipient of “Distinguished Young Scientist” from National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), “Changjiang Scholar” of Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE), Elsevier’s Highly Cited Researchers, and World’s Top 2% Scientists. He received his Ph.D. degree in Nano Materials from Keio University, Japan in 2005. And he joined COE researcher at Keio University (2005-2007) and his post-doctor experience at University of California at Davis (2007-2008). 

Prof. DING has long engaged in fundamental research and industrialization practice of electrospun nanofibrous materials. He has authored and co-authored over 470 peer-reviewed SCI papers in Nat. Commun.、Sci. Adv. etc., 4 books, 13 co-edited book chapters, and held over 190 approved innovation patents. His publications have over 32,000 citations and an H-index of 98. 

Prof. DING has served as an editor of 4 international academic journals and acted as an editorial board member of 5 international academic journals. He has received many precious honors including the Distinguished Achievement Award of The Fiber Society (USA), First Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress in Shanghai, Second Prize of Natural Science of MOE, First Prize of Technological Invention of China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC), First Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress of CNTAC, and China Patent Excellence Award, etc.
